PhD student, student – scholarship position

Requirements:
NCN scholarships may be awarded to a person who meets the following criteria:

• is a student of a full-time first or second-cycle degree programme or uniform Master’s studies at a university in Poland,

In addition:

• strong math background, efficient with analytical calculations,
• good programming skills in Python/R/Matlab,
• proficiency in English,
• strong motivation to conduct research in the field of human crowd motion.

Scope of work:
According to the proposals for funding of research projects „Crowd management in urban spaces: Developing a unified framework for simulating realistic human movement trajectories”, no. 2022/47/D/HS4/02576 in particular:

• Literature survey
• Code development in Matlab/R/Python
• Model calibration and testing
• Supplementary editorial work (publications).

Conditions of employment:

The scholarship will be awarded from April 2024 or from May 2024
Salary 3000 PLN/month (it is the so-called “employer gross”).
The scholarship agreement will be signed for 4 months.
