MOVEx Seminar at Harokopio University of Athens – April 22-25, 2024

From April 22 to 25, 2024, the MOVEx consortium will hold a seminar at the Dept. of Informatics and Telematics, Harokopio University of Athens (HUA). This four-day event will focus on key aspects of virtual education, intercultural competence, and modern developments in ICTs within education.

Key thematic areas include:

• Virtual Education: Overview of virtual mobility and its impact on education, frameworks for assessing virtual mobility, and online education practices.
• Modern ICT Developments in Education: Use of tools like learning portfolios, augmented reality, and learning analytics for online assessment and student support.
• Inclusion and Diversity: Addressing the needs of students with fewer opportunities and special educational needs through equity, diversity, and inclusivity (EDI) initiatives.
• Cultural Competence: Understanding cultural differences in education and their role in virtual exchange programs.
• Security and Ethics: Exploring the impact of GDPR and digital ethics in education.
• Virtual Exchange Projects: Methodological and technical support for designing and implementing virtual exchange projects, including curriculum design and assessment strategies.

The event will feature presentations by experts from HUA, including George Dafoulas, Ariadni Tsiakara, and Iraklis Varlamis, with discussions on project management and quality assurance to conclude the seminar.
