The Faculty of Management was established on 15 September 2021 by the decision of the Rector of the Wrocław University of Technology after merging a part of the Faculty of Computer Science and Management with the Faculty of Humanities.
Until that date, it functioned as the Faculty of Computer Science and Management, combining two disciplines: computer science and management. The historical origins of the Faculty date back to 1 September 1968, when it began operating under the name of the Faculty of Engineering and Economics, and from 1 September 1972 it continued to function as the Faculty of Computer Science and Management for nearly 50 years.
The Faculty of Management Mission Statement
The most important mission of the Faculty is to educate specialists in the field of management who are well prepared for the demanding realities of the contemporary labour market. The Faculty also cares for continuous enrichment of the scientific achievements of the discipline and supports professional development of the scientific and research staff. A very important place in the mission of the Faculty is occupied by awakening scientific interests of new generations and close cooperation with the economic environment - the Faculty offers innovative solutions strengthening the development of enterprises operating on the Polish and foreign markets. The Faculty of Management also provides the necessary knowledge and managerial skills to all students of Wrocław University of Science and Technology, including those from outside the Faculty.

Powers to confer degrees
On 30 May 2011 The Faculty was granted habilitation rights in the field of economic sciences in the discipline of Management. Pursuant to the new law of 20 July 2018, the Discipline Councils operating at the university constitute the bodies conferring the degrees. Regarding the Faculty of Management, the degrees of Doctor and Habilitated Doctor in the field of social sciences in the discipline of management and quality sciences are conferred.

The Faculty of Management cooperates in the area of teaching and research with universities from all over Poland, Europe and the world - North America, Asia, Australia and India. A prestigious Polish-American Business School is affiliated with the Faculty and offers Executive MBA studies, while faculty members conduct many postgraduate studies in the field of social sciences.
