We are pleased to announce that a new scientific discipline, Economics and Finance, is being established at the Faculty of Management.

After Management and Quality Sciences, this is our second discipline in the field of social sciences.

Economics and Finance is an important step in the development of this area at our University and confirms the direction in which we are all heading - towards full interdisciplinarity between technical, social, and human sciences.

Why this discipline?
Economics and Finance perfectly complements Management and Quality Sciences. Thanks to this combination, we are able to study not only organizational and decision-making processes, but also economic and financial conditions. Together, these two disciplines form a solid foundation for the analysis of complex socio-technical systems – from individual companies to entire sectors of the economy.
We are already carrying out numerous research projects in the field of economics and finance at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, and our researchers include people with extensive economic experience. The new discipline opens the way to even broader cooperation between management, economics and finance, psychology, and even philosophy, as well as to research at the intersection of STEM and health sciences.
