MOVEx Project Meeting Summary – November 8-11, 2023

The recent MOVEx project meeting, held in Wroclaw from November 8-11, 2023, focused on advancing the "Development of the Model and Common Information Space of Virtual Exchange Programs" (MOVEx) for 2022-2025. Key discussions centered around task assignments, deadlines, and the development of a common approach to the Virtual Exchange Programme (VEP).

Key Topics Discussed:

  1. List of Tasks and Deadlines:

    • Upcoming deliverables and their respective deadlines were established, including proposals for MOVEx microcredentials  and a preliminary version of the Common Information Space (CIS) system specification ).
  2. MOVEx Virtual Exchange Programme:

    • The Project Management Board (PMB), with participation from 9 out of 10 partners, agreed to structure the Virtual Exchange Programme around microcredentials. These will provide online learning opportunities for students across consortium universities, with each microcredential corresponding to 1-2 ECTS.
    • The goal is to offer at least 21 microcredentials, with topics potentially covering areas such as Green Transition, AI, Cybersecurity, and more. The "Umbrella" framework will unify these microcredentials under shared educational paths.
  3. MOVEx Training in Tallinn University of Technology:

    • A training session is scheduled for December 4-8, 2023, at Tallinn University of Technology. Arrangements for travel and participation are underway, with the detailed agenda to be provided shortly.
  4. Deliverable 2.1 – Benchmarking European and Ukrainian Virtual Exchange Practices:

    • Partners were reminded of the upcoming report deadline on December 4, 2023. The report will benchmark virtual exchange practices and highlight good practices in online education, particularly those developed during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This meeting solidified the project's next steps and created a clear roadmap for achieving key milestones. Participants are now preparing to deliver microcredential proposals and contribute to the upcoming Tallinn training and benchmark report.
